$16,000 Rolex recovered from creek in Florida

A senior citizen pleaded with a dive team to help him recover his Rolex watch, a $16,000 heirloom, which he dropped in a Florida creek when the strap broke.

The St. Johns County Police Department in northeast Florida reported that its dive team ended up turning the request into a training exercise.

Since the team was already in the area, they decided to try and see if they could find it and 20 minutes later, one of the divers located the watch at a depth of almost 20 feet and brought it to the surface.

“Believe it or not, the clock was ticking! Well done, dive team!” police said on her Facebook account.
