Barbie got a David Bowie makeover.
Mattel, the maker of Barbie, unveiled a limited edition Bowie doll Thursday, 50 years after the release of the singer’s iconic “Space Oddity” single.
In an post to the Barbie Instagram Thursday, Bowie was described as “the pioneer of sound and vision whose music continues to show the world how to reach for the stars!”
The doll is dressed as Bowie’s glam alter ego, Ziggy Stardust, complete with a shiny stripped jumpsuit, bold makeup and fiery red hair.
According to Barbie’s website, the doll is an adult collectors item and runs $50.
The doll, which will only be produced in limited quantities, comes with a doll stand and Certificate of Authenticity, the company’s blog states.
