Apple has dominated the wrist-worn device market for the last few years. However, a new report by the International Data Corporation (IDC) suggests that Huawei has surpassed the iPhone maker and secured the top spot in the global wrist-worn wearable market for the first three quarters of 2024.
The report goes on to say that in the third quarter of the year, the Huawei GT5 and the GT5 Pro as well as the second-generation blood pressure monitor Watch D2 contributed to most sales, with the company recording “continuous and stable growth” in Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Africa.
