The International Cricket Council (ICC) today revealed the leading international cricketers in contention to win the ODI and T20I Cricketer of the Year categories as ICC Awards 2024 shortlist announcements moved into a second day.
Following yesterday’s announcement of shortlisted candidates in the Emerging Men’s and Women’s categories, four more sets of nominees were unveiled on Sunday, celebrating the star performers from a breathless year in the shorter formats.
The lineup for the ICC Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year includes Sri Lankan duo Wanindu Hasaranga and Kusal Mendis, who boast the most wickets (26) and the most runs (742) respectively in the 50-over format in 2024.
