Earlier this year, a crucial carpet refresh at the New Adelphi Club led to an unexpected discovery – the original stage dating back to the club’s days as a social club. This tiny haven for aspiring musicians predates the club’s transformation into the renowned music venue it is today.
“It was a lovely surprise,” said Paul Sarel, the club’s manager. “Some people remember playing there, some remember seeing big bands that played there but you wouldn’t recognize it as the same stage they played on.”
