Online Gambling Unleashed Transnational Crime on the Philippines

The boxy, white buildings were supposed to be the offices of an online casino. But in February, Minh Duc Nguyen jumped from the second story in order to escape. An ensuing raid uncovered more than 600 people from seven countries at the site, which belonged to a company founded by the town’s mayor, Alice Guo, and her business associates. Guo would soon be on the run too.
