MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued two more temporary restraining orders (TROs) against the disqualification of two candidates in the May midterm elections.
The first TRO prevents the Commission on Elections (Comelec) from declaring Francis Leo Antonio Marcos a nuisance candidate. Marcos, a prominent figure, has been facing challenges to his candidacy, and this ruling temporarily halts Comelec’s move to disqualify him.
