Indonesia Secures $15.3 Million Climate Funding from France, EU

Jakarta. Indonesia has just secured a fresh grant worth 14.7 million euros or $15.3 million from France and the European Union (EU) for its energy transition, not long after the government’s endless complaints on the absence of international climate financing. 

The grant will go into backing the Indonesia Energy Transition Partnership (IETF), a five-year technical assistance program set up by the French development agency AFD. The EU contributes about $10.6 million euros of the grant. About 4.1 million euros will come from the AFD.
