The UFC strawweight champion defended her title in impressive fashion Saturday in the co-main event of UFC 312, overcoming a slow start to dominate previously undefeated challenger Tatiana Suarez. The win marked Zhang’s third straight title defense in her second reign as champion, and her fourth defense overall.
Zhang simply outclassed Suarez, not only battering the wrestling specialist on the feet, but turning the tables on her with explosive scrambles and takedowns of her own.
