This study provides powerful evidence indicating the complicated relationship between smoking behaviors and obesity among Taiwanese males. Our findings reveal that smoking is significantly related to the risk of overall and abdominal obesity. Light- and moderate-intensity smokers are at particularly high risks of exhibiting increased BMI and waist circumference. This comprehensive study of smoking behaviors suggests the manner in which obesity risk is affected by different levels of smoking intensity.
