Former UFC heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez, was sentenced to five in prison for attempted murder on Monday afternoon (March 24, 2025), bringing an end to a protracted legal battle that lasted for more than three years.
Velasquez pleaded “No Contest” to the 2022 shooting of accused child molester Harry Goularte, who faces his own trial in June. Goularte escaped injury when Velasquez opened fire on city streets, wounding Goularte’s passenger.
