Joe Rogan has seen a lot of crazy stuff happen in the octagon, but a fight at UFC 314 may have taken the cake.
The final preliminary bout of the evening saw featherweights Dan Ige and Sean Woodson engaged in a competitive three-round contest… or at least it might have gone three rounds were it not for overzealous referee Andrew Glenn.
Ige had Woodson in danger in Round 3, prompting Woodson to go for a takedown. As he held on to Ige’s leg, Ige countered by peppering Woodson with hammer fists. The fighters appeared to be mid-struggle when Glenn stepped in to stop the fight.
At the commentary desk, Rogan immediately criticized Glenn’s stoppage.
