“You can take some solace in it [good putting]. Today, I just really felt that confidence come back with the putter which was unbelievable. Ten birdies on a golf course that I thought was playing quite tricky – the greens were firm and crusty.
“With that came a few mistakes here and there. But listen, to make the put on 18 was the one you dream about when you were a kid. So to give myself an opportunity and a chance was an unbelievable feeling.
“I’ve been in this [play-off] position before in 2017 so it’s definitely tough, but I bounced back pretty well from that too. I went on to be world number one after that so I used it to my advantage.
