CLOSE to 58 million Filipinos voted last May 12, an 82.2 percent turnout that is the highest so far for a midterm election.
Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman George Erwin Garcia said on Friday 55,874,700 voters cast ballots out of the 68,431,965 who registered.
