TACLOBAN CITY — There is now a shortage of fuel supply on Samar Island following the load limit imposition at the San Juanico Bridge, an official of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), and a fuel distributor confirmed.
Leyte board member Wilson Uy, past regional governor of PCCI and president of Netro Fuel, confirmed during the Talakayan sa Budget Hotel here on May 23, the closure of some gas stations in Samar following the load limit issue at the San Juanico Bridge last week.
Uy said gas station owners have no supply of their fuel as their fuel tankers could no longer cross the bridge.
He said many fuel tankers are still on standby…
