A Status Yellow wind warning has been issued for counties Dublin, Wexford and Wicklow.
Met Éireann said the warning came into place at 8am and will remain in place until 2pm.
The forecaster said there will be very strong and gusty southeast winds.
It said the high winds could lead to hazardous travelling conditions, wave overtopping and localised coastal flooding.
There is also two gale warnings in place for marine areas around the coast.
