Gardaí from the Armed Support Unit were required following an incident of a man who had caused panic at a peaceful Wexford beauty spot on Saturday evening, wandering around armed with an axe and causing damage to four cars.
Gardaí in Wexford received panicked calls from members of the public enjoying a weekend stroll at Forth Mountain shortly after 4 p.m., informing them of a man carrying an axe in a very aggressive state in the car park of the secluded wooded walking trails.
