Keep an eye on the Montreal Canadiens landing one of the best goaltenders on the market before Friday afternoon’s trade deadline.
Reports have surfaced stating the Canadiens and St. Louis Blues are in advanced trade talks surrounding goaltender Jordan Binnington ending up in Montreal, and Canadiens goaltender Sam Montembeault heading to the Blues.
The Canadiens haven’t been satisfied with their goaltending this season, and have the type of talented team that could damage in the Stanley Cup Playoffs with a hot netminder in the crease. Binnington has play so-so on a very bad Blues team this season, but showed at the Olympics, he’s still very capable of winning the big game, and played outstanding for Team Canada.
