Ray Boyne, the crack statistician, put an interesting table on X the other day showing the correlation between the two-pointer and the Division 1 league standings.
It’s uncanny. Of the eight teams, six of them have the same ranking in the league as they would have in a notional table of two-pointers converted. These are the teams ranked eighth to third.
