TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is set to sign a presidential decree establishing a task force to innovate financing and management of the country’s national parks. The initiative aims to secure sustainable funding for Indonesia’s 57 national parks.
Prabowo’s younger brother, Hashim Djojohadikusumo, has been appointed as the head of the task force. The vice chair positions will be held by Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni and the President’s Special Envoy for International Trade and Multilateral Cooperation, Mari Elka Pangestu.
