Congregation and teachers remove alleged “threat” from St Mary’s Church in Navan

The incident occurred during a confirmation ceremony at St Mary’s Church, led by Bishop of Meath Thomas Deenihan.

Gardaí have confirmed that they responded to a report of a public order incident at a premises in Navan, yesterday  at around 1pm.

This comes as reports suggest a woman allegedly claimed she had a bomb strapped to her during a confirmation ceremony in St Mary Church in Navan.

Members of the congregation reported intervened and approached the woman.

A woman, aged in her 40s, was removed…
