(NOTICIAS YA).- An elderly woman who was crossing the street in Aurora died when she was hit by a vehicle.
According to local station KDVR, the woman was crossing Alaska Place East, between Wheeling Street South and Worchester Way South.
The aforementioned medium adds that it was approximately 7 in the morning when it was hit by the car.
The victim managed to be transferred to a hospital, where shortly after she was pronounced dead due to the injuries she suffered.
On the other hand, the driver of said car remained at the scene of the mishap at all times.
Speeding or substance abuse is not believed to have played a role in what happened.
The described would be the thirty-third death related to a traffic situation so far this year in Aurora, according to the local Police Department.
