Castlemartyr Resort Raises €40,000 for Cork Penny Dinners at Charity Gala Dinner
Castlemartyr Resort recently hosted its inaugural fundraising gala dinner, raising an impressive €40,000 for Cork Penny Dinners.
The elegant evening featured a five-course meal exquisitely crafted by executive head chef Kevin Burke and his culinary team. Throughout the night, guests were entertained by the musical talents of Kelli-Ann Masterson, Susie Gibbons, and Rachel Croash, accompanied by the smooth melodies of Gary Beecher on piano. Well-known local personality Reggie also kept the crowd amused, while TV host Killian O’Sullivan served as the compere for the delightful occasion, which attracted over 200 attendees.
Luxury Prizes and Generous Support
The funds were generously contributed by attendees who participated in an exciting auction featuring a selection of luxurious prizes donated by esteemed businesses such as Mayrange Hospitality, Nespresso, and Jameson Distillery.
Brendan Comerford, general manager of Castlemartyr Resort, expressed his delight at the success of the event, saying: “We are delighted with the success of our first charity gala dinner, and we are blown away by the kindness shown by the guests and our business supporters.”
Caitríona Twomey, of Cork Penny Dinners, echoed the sentiment, stating: “This has been a fantastic evening. We are so grateful to Castlemartyr Resort, all the lovely guests and to everyone who kindly supported this event. It is important for all our volunteers and the people who use our services to see the strength of support out there for Cork Penny Dinners.”
