TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Indonesian Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon, plans to request the return of Indonesia’s cultural heritage objects from several countries, including India, where the country’s Pucangan Inscription resides.
“We hope President Prabowo Subianto will ask, among other things, for the return of the Pucangan Inscription during his visit to India,” Fadli said at the Ministry of Culture Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 8, 2024.
President Prabowo is scheduled to visit India on January 25-26, 2025.
Fadli said the Pucangan Inscription is an important heritage for the Indonesian people, as it contains the genealogy of King Airlangga in the X century.
