Prolific video game developer Blizzard Entertainment is reviving its beloved fan convention BlizzCon in 2026.
The event, last held in the fall of 2023, was skipped in 2024 as the internal focus for Activision Blizzard was on integration within new owner Microsoft Gaming. Per this announcement, Blizzard will again be skipping hosting the Anaheim-based convention this year, but is preparing for a return in September 2026.
The two-day event will be hosted out of the Anaheim Convention Center Sept. 12-13, 2026. The last BlizzCon was hosted at the same convention center Nov. 3-4, 2023, just after the close of Microsoft’s $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard in October 2023.
