Lulamba a significant absentee as Aintree’s Grand National undercard is hit by going-related non-runners

Aintree’s Grand National undercard has been impacted by drying conditions, with Mersey Novices’ Hurdle favourite Lulamba among a growing list of non-runners.

Nicky Henderson’s star juvenile is the most noteworthy absentee from Saturday’s card, with the going described as good on the Mildmay tracks (hurdle and chase) despite regular watering by officials at the track, including 8mm after racing on Friday.

The going is good to soft on the National course and there are no non-runners from the big race itself, due to get underway at 4pm.
