OVERSEAS Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Deputy Administrator Emma Sinclair was also relieved from her post in connection with the agency’s anomalous P1.2-billion land acquisition deal, Malacañang confirmed on Wednesday.
Former OWWA chief Arnell Ignacio was earlier dismissed over the issue and was replaced by Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Undersecretary Patricia Yvonne Caunan.
“Former OWWA Administrator Arnel Ignacio, he did not resign, he was removed because of the anomalies mentioned, (DMW) Secretary Hans Cacdac has already mentioned this,” Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary Claire Castro said in Filipino in a briefing.
