It has been 14 years since American singer-songwriter Kesha – formerly Ke$ha – played in Dublin and that absence among her fans was felt in the 3Arena on Saturday night.
The crowd was filled with those who remembered her massive hits the first time round as well as a younger fan base, many of whom wore chunky 2000s-style coloured streaks in their hair and body glitter, which the singer was once famous for.
Kesha’s gap in touring was not due to a lack of popularity, but rather a lengthy legal battle with her former producer Dr Luke over his alleged drugging and sexual assault of the singer, claims which he denied. The producer countersued her…
