Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid said he was fine after leaving Monday’s practice early with trainers.
The Oilers, who are still looking to secure a playoff spot in the Western Conference, begin a two-game road trip on Tuesday against the Utah Mammoth before playing the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday in Nevada.
Edmonton has dropped back-to-back games and currently sit third in the Pacific Division with a 34-28-9 record through 71 games, four points ahead of the Los Angeles Kings.
The 29-year-old McDavid is in the midst of another Hart Trophy-calibre season, recording 38 goals and 78 assists over 71 games. McDavid has now produced 100 or more points in six straight seasons.
