A bomb cyclone hits coastal areas of northern California
California has declared a state of emergency due to the arrival of a bomb cyclone that has hit the northern coastal areas of the state. The storms are leaving strong downpours of water and hurricane force winds of up to 160 km per hour. In the last few hours, the deaths of 4 people have been confirmed, one of them a child under the age of two who died after a tree fell on him in the town of Occidental, in Sonoma County.
