A passenger plane flying from Birmingham to Bucharest has landed at Prague’s Vaclav Havel Airport due to the birth of a baby on board.
A passenger plane flying from Birmingham (United Kingdom) to Bucharest (Romania) landed at Vaclav Havel Airport in Prague at dawn due to the birth of a baby, that finally took place on board, reported Radio Prague.
“At 1:14 a.m., Prague airport received information that a flight from the UK to Romania had been diverted. due to childbirth. About 12 minutes later it was learned that both the mother and the newborn were fine,” explained Michal Procházka, from the aerodrome medical service.
The baby and his mom are fine.
Shortly after, the plane landed in Prague, and the woman and her newborn were transferred to a Prague clinic, while the flight continued its journey towards Bucharest, he added.
“I am happy that the mother and baby are well, and I wish them good health,” the airport director, Jiri Pos, wrote on his Twitter account.
