For the rest of the season, Ambri-Piotta hires the British-born Canadian Brendan Perlini. The 24-year-old striker is set to replace Matt D’Agostini.

The polyvalent Perlini was drawn in 2014 by the Arizona Coyotes in the first round of the NHL draft. For Arizona, the Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings, he scored 76 scorer points in a total of 239 NHL games. For the new season he had not received a new contract in North America.

After his knee injury in October, Matt D’Agostini needs a longer recovery time than expected.
