INDIANAPOLIS — Tyrese Haliburton, the NBA’s leading assists this season, will miss about two weeks with elbow and knee injuries, the Indiana Pacers announced Thursday night.
Haliburton is hurt in the left elbow and left knee.
The 12th overall pick in 2020 was injured Wednesday at Madison Square Garden, where the Pacers were beaten 119-113 by the Knicks.
Haliburton leads the league with 10.2 assists per game, on average.
He also dominates his club with 20.2 points per game.
Quebecer Bennedict Mathurin ranks third on the Pacers with 17.2 points per game.
The Pacers, Knicks and Heat are battling for ranks six through eight in the East.
Indiana will play again Friday night at home, against the Atlanta Hawks (RDS, 7:00 p.m.).
