Arizona reported this morning an accumulated 10 thousand 36 deaths from Covid-19 and 607 thousand 345 infections, according to the Department of Health Services of that entity.

Only in the last 24 hours that state registered 11,996 positive cases for the coronavirus and 98 deaths from this pandemic.

Until yesterday they have been applied in Arizona 3 million 442 thousand 738 tests to detect the presence of SARS-CoV-2, of which 17.6% turned out to be carriers of the virus.

The counties with the most infected are Maricopa with 374 thousand 740, followed by Pima with 80 thousand 642, Pinal with 32 thousand 960 and Yuma with 30 thousand 847. Due to the number of deaths, among the four regions they add up to a cumulative 7 thousand 976, that is, 79.4% of the total deaths from this disease in that state bordering Sonora.

This high positivity that is recorded in Arizona, has its health system in check, because until today the number of beds available in the intensive care units of hospitals is only 8%.

It should be noted that currently Arizona has the highest per capita rate of new infections, with 785 cases per 100,000 people in the last week and the United States continues to be the country most affected by the pandemic with 20 million infections on January 1, representing more than 23 % of all registered cases in the world.
