The Ball State Football Cardinals won the Arizona Bowl in Tucson that Thursday afternoon by beating Mountain West champions San Jose State 34-13.

Ball State football fans are likely to think that Sunday is the month on their calendar. After all, it took a long time. This marks the first FBS major college bowl win in school history. The Cardinals beat a good, solid San Jose State University team 27-0 at the end of the first quarter, holding back the Spartans in 22nd for a win with three touchdowns.

Look for Ball State to end its season in the top 25 as this is the second undefeated team to beat the cards. Buffalo was the first to lose to BSU when the Bulls were in the top 25 in the championship game of the Mid-American Conference 6-0.
