San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered an ankle injury early in the game and had to be retired.
After the game, the terrible news: broken foot. Trey Lance’s backup, who is also out with an injury for the remainder of the season, will undergo surgery and will be unavailable to the 49ers for the 2022 season.
Jimmy G. was replaced by Brock Purdy, who was the last pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and thus became the so-called “Mr. Irelevant”.

One of Los Angeles’ few bright spots was Cam Akers, who had two touchdowns.
