FRAMINGHAM, Mass., April 2 /PRNewswire/ — The all-new, all-electric Volvo EX90 is available with premium sound from Bose

FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Dec. 20, 2022 /PRNewswire/– Bose today announced its first sound system for Volvo Cars, which will showcase the power of Bose sound in the all-new, all-electric Volvo EX90. The Volvo EX90, due to launch in early 2024, marks the start of a new collaboration between Bose and Volvo Cars that will expand to other models in the years to come.

By offering Bose as one of its enhanced sound options, Volvo Cars can deliver its customers the legendary sound performance that Bose automotive systems have been known for for 40 years. And as the industry pioneer in factory-installed premium sound systems, Bose is now bringing its extensive portfolio of OEM partners to one of the world’s most respected car brands.

“Working with Volvo Cars is an important milestone for us,” said Peter Kosak, senior vice president and head of automotive at Bose. “We share many common traits, from our long-standing commitment to delivering amazing consumer experiences to our intense Focused on getting every detail just right, Bose is excited to bring our shared passions to the next generation of Volvo customers.”

“The new Volvo EX90 marks a new era for Volvo Cars as we chart a clear course towards premium quality and a fully electric future,” said Javier Varela, Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer of Volvo Cars. “Bose is a important part of this development and we are delighted to be working with their audio experts to provide our customers with an even more enjoyable experience.”

Bose sound system for the Volvo EX90

The new Volvo EX90 is a versatile and stylish all-electric family vehicle that combines groundbreaking technologies and connectivity with unrivaled safety, comfort and modern aesthetics. The available 14-speaker Bose sound system offers drivers and passengers of the Volvo EX90 a first-class interior driving experience.

Bose and Volvo Cars engineers worked closely together to adapt the sound system to the unique interior of the Volvo EX90. Additionally, the system was engineered through a new software-assisted Bose proprietary tuning approach called Perceptual Sound Rendering (PSR), which gives systems engineers more freedom and flexibility to precisely tune audio performance for any interior seating position.

Rather than tuning from one speaker to the next, PSR allows engineers to holistically tune the entire system to achieve the desired performance goal. With PSR, music reproduction is even more precise, vivid, lifelike and closer to the artist’s intention.

The Bose system also features the latest generation of sophisticated digital signal processing, Centerpoint 360, which delivers a more immersive surround sound experience than ever before.

Additional features of the Bose sound system for the Volvo EX90 include:

* SurroundStage technology that balances audio performance and puts each listener at the center of the music experience, no matter where they are in the vehicle.

* BassSync technology that ensures more accurate low-frequency performance and sounds the same as the original recording.

* AudioPilot 3 noise cancellation technology that monitors all sources of persistent background noise and automatically adjusts the music signal for a more consistent and enjoyable listening experience.

Bose sound systems are designed for consumers who love music and appreciate quality craftsmanship and careful design. This is an ideal combination for Volvo Cars customers – both long-time loyal customers and new customers of the brand.

More information about the Volvo EX90 and the available Bose sound system will be announced in the coming months, just before the car goes into production.

About Bose Automotive Systems

In the early 1980s, Bose engineers created the world’s first premium factory-installed automotive sound systems. Unlike traditional or after-market automotive systems, Bose systems were designed for specific vehicles and tuned for specific vehicles – transforming the industry. Since then, Bose has developed proprietary loudspeaker designs, advanced amplification and signal processing technologies, exclusive analysis and design tools, and technologies for controlling the sound environment inside vehicles – all based on a heritage of research and engineering. Today, Bose automotive systems are recognized worldwide as the industry benchmark for performance and customer satisfaction, and independent research in several regions of the world confirms Bose as the leading choice of automotive customers.
