Sheffield loan called off
The German U21 international Reda Khadra is spending the second half of the current season on loan at Birmingham City in the championship. Home club Brighton & Hove Albion announced on Tuesday that the 21-year-old had been called back from his loan at Sheffield United, which originally ran until the end of the season, and that his contract had been extended until 2024.
“Reda has played little football at Sheffield United in recent months so we are hoping the return and loan to Birmingham will increase his playing stats. Despite limited playing time, we are very happy with Reda’s development this season and he deserves this contract extension,” said Brighton technical director David Weir. Khadra made 16 appearances for Sheffield, playing 455 minutes and scoring one goal. Most recently, he was linked to Schalke 04 in the TM rumor mill.
Reda Khadra has signed a contract extension with Albion until 2024, and will now spend the rest of this season on loan at @BCFC.
