The modern landscaping of the park was a gift to residents in the year of the 65th anniversary of the city and the 300th anniversary of the formation of Kuzbass. The opening was attended by the First Deputy Governor – Chairman of the Government of Kuzbass Vyacheslav Telegin. Last year, the park reconstruction project won the All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment in small towns and historical settlements.
Large-scale work was carried out on an area of 6.6 hectares. The park was divided into two zones, two playgrounds with a playground, trampolines and swings, food court zones, playgrounds for chess fans with height figures, as well as a pump track were equipped. A bike path with a length of 1.1 km has been made, two bicycle parking lots for six places have been installed. The project also includes a dog walking area with a slide, a ring and three artificial obstacles “Barrier”.
An amphitheater was built in the park for festive events. Glowing art objects “Sun” and “Heart” are installed nearby, symbolizing warmth and love. 32 park sofas were installed along the entire perimeter of the park, 219 birches and 36 pines were planted. The greening of the park will continue in the spring of 2022.
In the evening, the walking paths will be illuminated by 67 earthen LED lights and 145 park lights. The original part of the lighting design is the old water tower. The project developers decided not to demolish it, but to install lighting in the windows, turning it into a kind of beacon.
Also, the “Front and Rear” memorial has been restored. The base of the monument was laid out with granite, the facade was painted, the inscriptions were restored.
Recall that in 2020 the Vokzalny park project in Myski won the All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment among small towns and settlements with the support of SUEK, which is being held within the framework of the Housing and Urban Environment national project. The work cost more than 74 million rubles, the funds were allocated from the consolidated budget.
