Condado Tacos seeks to open up to 100 restaurants by 2026

Condado Tacos has big plans for growth.

The casual dining chain, which specializes in make-your-own tacos, margaritas and tequilas served in a colorful and energetic environment, is launching a plan to open 90 to 100 restaurants by 2026.

Founded in 2014 with a location in Columbus, Ohio, Condado Tacos operates 39 restaurants in 13 markets. The company currently has 12 new restaurants scheduled to open in 2023, including six in the markets. New markets include St. Louis, Mo.; Louisville, Kentucky; Knoxville, Tennessee; Greenville, South Carolina; and Birmingham, Alabama.

In 2020, Condado Tacos announced an investment partnership with New York-based private equity firm The Beekman Group LLC, saying the partnership would allow the brand to grow into new markets.

Beekman’s restaurant investment portfolio includes Another Broken Egg Café, full-service Mexican concept Ted’s Café Escondido and TBG Food Acquisition Corp., which operates a Dunkin franchise.

“We are thrilled to announce our goal to grow Condado Tacos significantly in the coming years,” said Chris Artinian, President and CEO. “Offering clean, mouthwatering, freshly ingredient tacos, margs and tequilas at an excellent value, with an average check under $20, we provide a full-service dining experience like no other, and our partners at The Beekman Group are fully committed to our growth plan within existing and new markets.”

Condado is known for its all-inclusive, “Come As You Are” culture. (There are no uniforms for employees). The company also celebrates communities by working with local artists to hand-paint the walls of each new restaurant with unique floor-to-ceiling murals. The colorful murals reference landmarks and other local features.

Condada guests can top a variety of tacos with their choice of protein, toppings and sauces. The restaurants have a full bar with a wide variety of 100% blue agave tequilas and special margaritas.

The company has 39 locations in 13 markets including Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Lexington, Nashville, Pittsburgh and Charlotte.
