But, even more recently, ESPN revealed that the striker was close to reaching the United States MLS.

Taylor Twellman, sports channel journalist, communicated through his twitter account that Sporting Kansas City was close to stealing the former Real Madrid player and that he maintained constant communication with the relatives of this Portuguese legend.
