Washington. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdown passes and ran for another as his Kansas City Chiefs earned their eighth straight NFL playoff berth.
Jerick McKinnon’s 26-yard touchdown run in overtime gave Kansas City a 30-24 victory in Houston over the Texans for the seventh straight AFC West title.
Mahomes finished the game with 336 yards without an interception and sparked a second-half comeback.
The Chiefs (11-3) joined Philadelphia, San Francisco, Buffalo and Minnesota with clinched playoff tickets, which was also joined by the Dallas Cowboys despite a 34-40 loss to Jacksonville, although the pass was received by the night with the Giants’ 20-12 win over Washington.

Bears offensive lineman Teven Jenkins was taken to the hospital with a neck injury after he was injured in the first quarter.
“I was receptive. We could see him move his hands,” coach Matt Eberflus said. “Again, I don’t know much beyond that. They only told me that it was encouraging. It is all I have of information from the medical staff for now ”.
