Alison, a mother who still lives in Birmingham, rose to fame in the mid-2000s after enjoying a stint on Big Brother.
She quickly became This Morning’s entertainment correspondent, before taking over as a presenter on Friday mornings.
Now, Alison has announced a new role on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, captioning one image: “Exciting.”
She shared a glimpse of her new role with her 839,000 followers and told the Express it was simply a “pre-show shoot.”
Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford recently left the Friday show in an upheaval, with Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond in their place.
Despite their departure, married couple Holmes and Langsford will continue to host the daytime show “during the summer holidays,” ITV said.
The difficulties of filming amid the pandemic are compounded because the acts travel from all over the UK and sometimes overseas to appear on the show, hosted by Ant and Dec.
