Authorities issued an Amber Alert for a 15-year-old girl who they said was abducted from her home in Yakima on Monday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The girl, Angeles Revuelta-Buenrostro, came out to take out the trash around 11:20 a.m. and did not return, according to state patrol. Her family were at home when they disappeared and were concerned when they didn’t come back inside, Yakima Police Captain Shawn Boyle said.
Detectives believe she may have been kidnapped by a 36-year-old man who recently “forced her through social media” and took her to Arizona for about a month, Boyle said. She was found and returned to Washington in November.
The man, Daniel Ovante, also reportedly recently threatened to kidnap Revuelta-Buenrostro and kill his family, the state patrol said.
Ovante is considered armed and dangerous and was last seen driving a black Ford F-150 with an Arizona license plate BYR6257, authorities said.
