Lionel Richie will be performing in an outdoor concert in Longleat Park next summer, as part of a brand new concert series.

The show will be part of the star’s UK tour in 2022 and is postponed to the original date which was due to take place in Bristol. Bristol original date tickets remain valid for Longleat.

Commenting on his performance at Longleat, he said: “I am really excited to play Longleat. I know we will all have an amazing night of partying together.

“It’s a place steeped in musical history – The Rolling Stones and Elton John both made headlines for Longleat and I’m honored to join the esteemed list!” See you next year! “

Richie has four Grammys, a Golden Globe and an Oscar to his name, and has sold over 100 million albums worldwide, with iconic hits such as “All Night Long”, “Dancing on the Ceiling” and “Hello “.

The singer-songwriter from Tuskegee, Alabama first rose to prominence singing and writing songs with The Commodores, including all-time classics “Three Times A Lady,” “Stuck On You ”,“ Still ”and“ Easy ”.

After touring solo he became one of the most successful artists in the world, winning a string of 13 top ten hits between 1981 and 1987, including nine number one singles such as “Endless Love”, “Truly” and ‘Say You’.

Longleat has a rich history of hosting live musical events, from the rise of pop in the 1960s with Billy J Kramer and The Rolling Stones performing in front of 16,000 people, to more modern times with Elton. John in 2016.
