The second outfit FC Barcelona is generating a lot of controversy due to the white color that reminds the Real Madrid. Few culés seem to be convinced that it is a good idea to wear this shirt, but this would not be something new. In the season 46/47, Barça already played in white against Levantein addition to a Fairs Cup against Birmingham City and two European games with Johan Cruyff as the leader where he scored a goal. To this day, images of the famous celebration of the Dutchman with that elastic that also lacked publicity are still saved, something unthinkable in the current modern era.
Edu Aguirre, a journalist from “El Chiringuito”, gave his opinion emphatically about what the possible sale of white shirts would be like for the next campaign: “It will be the least sold shirt in the history of football.” A comment that unleashed a multitude of opinions about it both among the program’s collaborators and among its own followers. Madridista commentators such as Roncero or Guti thought that Barcelona is gaining in taste.
The newspaper “Sport” carried out a survey among the Blaugrana fans, thus compiling the most outstanding phrases about clothing: “They look more and more like Madrid, they just need to win a Champions League from time to time”. “If they don’t win the Champions League with this, I don’t know”. Until it has been announced by the club, the desire of many fans is to find a solution with a different design. However, “Sport” takes it for granted. The newspaper does not report a possibility, but rather a reality that is already fully agreed upon.
Blue pants
Another of the curiosities about this dress is that it will be accompanied by some dark blue pants. At no time was the possibility that they were also white considered. However, this alternative does not seem to convince Barcelona fans either. The problem does not lie in a matter of aesthetics, but in the white that has always been associated with the Madrid team. Paradoxically, Eintracht eliminated Barça in the quarterfinals of the Europa League with a massive landing of German fans wearing white. The images were a trend because, precisely, they remembered the eternal rival and the club took measures to avoid these invasions of rival hobbies in the stands.
As a result of this, Jota Jordi, a commentator from “El Chiringuito”, made a comparison: “What would Madrid fans think if they wore a shirt in the color of Barcelona?”.
