Third baseman Evan Longoria has accepted a one-year, $4 million deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks, reports John Heyman of the New York Post.
The veteran could receive an additional 1 million in bonuses.
After spending the first 10 seasons of his career with the Tampa Bay Rays, Longoria played the last five in San Francisco. He batted .244 with 14 homers and 42 RBIs in 89 games last season.
Longoria was named Rookie of the Year in 2008 and has three All-Star picks in addition to being the recipient of three Gold Gloves. He finished in the top-10 in the Most Valuable Player voting twice.
