Apple Marks Original 2017 Apple TV 4K Vintage

Why it matters
Classifying hardware as vintage marks a milestone in a product lifecycle, shifting older devices toward eventual obsolescence as newer architectures take over living rooms. The 2017 model was the very first iteration of Apple TV to support 4K resolution, paving the way for high-end streaming integration in the smart home ecosystem. The introduction of the fourth-generation model brings a sweeping hardware refresh after a four-year gap since the previous update.
