Bukele stated that the remains delivered on Saturday do not belong to their men, contradicting earlier reports. The four military personnel from a UN-backed force went missing following an ambush on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince. El Salvador subsequently deployed approximately 2,000 troops and special forces along with equipment to conduct a rescue operation and search for the kidnapped service members amidst ongoing gang violence and threats.W
