iPhone 18 Pro: Three new design updates are coming

Apple released the iPhone 18 Pro on September 18 starting at $1,199 with an A20 Pro chip. Expert reviewers confirm the device features a battery boost, a smaller Dynamic Island, and a variable-aperture camera. However, users report three major problems despite the upgraded hardware. The high-end strategy places the Pro model $100 above the iPhone Air during a lineup shift that omitted a traditional base model. Standard iPhone 18 models and an additional foldable device are anticipated in spring 2027 following the initial launch alongside the iPhone Duo foldable.

  1. iPhone 18 Pro Confirmed With Variable Aperture and Smaller Island

This shift occurs as buyers evaluate early hardware performance against reported user problems.

    Why it matters
